Thomas A. Blomster and the Colorado Chamber Orchestra are pleased to be collaborating with the Prairie STEAM Collaborative on Locust, a new opera with music by Dr. Anne Guzzo, libretto by Dr. Jeffrey Alan Lockwood, and art direction by Ashley Hope Carlisle.
The Jackson, Wyoming premiere in September 2018 enjoyed positive press (see below). The cast and creative team enjoyed to the first overseas performance of the work in Agadir, Morocco in March 2019, and are mounting the production in Scotland in 2021 with a performance at St. Andrews Laidlaw Music Centre in Fife and Cottiers in Glasgow.
